The Constitution of the United States of America

We as a nation love to hang our hats on the rights afforded us in our Constitution.  But how many have actually read it?  When I was in law school we were inundated with copies of the Constitution by the various legal research search engines/databases.  I’ve read it a few times.  And taken 2 semesters’ worth of classes on how it’s been interpreted.  Not that I have all the answers (no on does, not even the Supreme Court.  Because they don’t even agree on everything).  But it behooves every American citizen to at least READ the Constitution, and actually KNOW what the words are that are in it.  And so for your convenience in doing this,  you can find the transcript of our United States Constitution here. Read it.  Know it.  And stop making up things that you *think* are in the Constitution that are not. Rant Over.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
